Review summary

Helpful, well-prepared, thoughtful host
Caleb provides detailed tips, offers luggage storage, and ensures the vehicle is fully equipped for off-grid adventures. He is proactive in maintaining the vehicle for safety, communicating clearly even for necessary cancellations.
Reliable, capable, high fuel usage
Hildr is a well-equipped 2003 Toyota Sequoia with solar power and comfortable camping gear, ideal for off-grid travel. It's reliable on difficult and gravel roads, but guests note its high fuel consumption and age.

5.0Our trip was great and Caleb took care of us. There are a lot of things in the car that aren't listed- bear spray, plenty to cook with, blankets etc. If I ever come back I'll look him up again!

5.0Car is great. Caleb was helpful. There were some mechanical problems with the car, that Caleb offered to have repaired, but it was just not compatible with my time schedule of my travels, so I managed to continue my trip even withou openable boot. Car is old, but reliable for driving difficult roads, but it has high usage of fuel. More than I was expecting. Caleb allowes the car to be taken on gravel roads, which is amazing. Reccomend it more for solo traveler, for 2 people there would not be much space, but would be also managable.

5.0The trip with Hildr was great! We put on a lot of miles with our travels and Hildr held up beautifully. Caleb thought of everything inside the truck that may be needed for camping off grid and we felt very comfortable and warm on the cold nights in the truck. He also gave us lots of suggestions for things to do and routes to take and patiently answered all of my questions over the phone as this was our first time renting on Outdoorsy. Our favorite part was being able to take Hildr off the main road to find the best camp spots for the night. If we come back to Alaska, we will definitely be renting again!
