Black Betty

This is the best way to see Alaska. Black Betty is a very comfortable ride, the rooftop tent kept us warm and dry during a week of rain, and they included everything you need for a camping trip. The only thing you need is a sleeping bag as the tent has a pad built in. Will definitely try this route again in the future. They were spectacular to deal with!

Brian and Rebekah's camper van was awesome. They were super quick to communicate when I had any questions, and checked in a few times throughout the week. Before the trip, we had a video call to go over setting up the camper, which was beyond helpful since I did remote pickup / drop off. They even loaned me bear spray and a fluffy pillow since I was flying in from Pennsylvania!

I was a solo traveler and will say that the tent setup was slightly more challenging on my own than I was anticipating. By the end of the week, however, I felt like I had the hang of it. This tent definitely seems better suited for a 2-3 people - very roomy! As far as quality, I hit some horrible rain and the tent kept me completely dry. The car ran without issues, and the supplies provided were more than sufficient for campground camping. Would totally rent from Brian and Rebekah again!

Great rental for a week of exploring Alaska!

This was our first outdoorsy experience and it went so incredibly well we don’t think we’d ever use a rental agency again! Brian and Rebekah were so friendly and accommodating, gave us the full rundown of the vehicle and even showed in person how to set up the pop up tent. We were set up for success since the beginning. The trip ran very smoothly, and Black Betty was exactly as described on the listing. We would rent this experience again in a heartbeat!

This camper made for an awesome trip! The setup and tear down are so simple and quick. The car was excellent and communication with Brian and Rebecca made everything super easy and stress free. I would highly recommend anyone to road-trip around like this!
