"The Van" is a 2011 Ford Transit Connect that I've been slowly building out over the past few years. During my free time this past year, I decided to build it out the best way I could think of and rent it out for a passive income that lets others enjoy the freedom of having a home on wheels for the weekend. The slide-out bed is designed around having a third seatbelt in the back, and the cooler to give the most headroom possible. This allows anyone 6'1 or under to sit fully upright inside. It also gives different layout options to maximize the "hang-out" space inside a smaller van like mine. The swivel table lets two people escape the moody PNW whether to play cards or eat inside, protected from the elements. All different layouts will be explained when picking up the van and are quite easy to set up with the slide-out bed and cushion configurations. The cooking setup is designed around using the slide-out cooler as a table that can be sheltered from the weather by the 6' awning. The kitchen also contains a two-burner stove, plates, utensils, pots, pans, and everything else for a group of four to enjoy a camping meal. I also have plenty of recommendations for eating out at all the suggested locations I have included in the ad!The vehicle itself has proven to be quite reliable over the four years I've had it. It's never missed an oil change and has regularly been serviced at "Chucks Midtown Motors" in Bellingham. The van's reliability and easy driving nature have let me feel comfortable taking it to remote places where breaking down isn't an option. As a renter, you can feel safe knowing everything is mechanically sound when you take it on a trip. What's included45-quart Rtic cooler, two burner camp stove, Propane, cookware, utensils, 6-foot Awning, roof box, blankets/sheets, 2 pillows, Two-person camp chair, solo stove fire pit, camp lights, Discover Pass.RecommendationsBellingham is located in a great place to easily access hiking, mountain biking, and even surfing if you are willing to drive a little further. Nearby we have Larrabee state park (10-minute drive from town), Deception Pass state park (45 minutes), Mt. Baker Wilderness (hour and 15 minutes), Leavenworth, WA (2.5-3 hours), Olympic National Park (3.5 hours), and my favorite place Neah Bay (5 hours). The van comes with a Discover pass and any additional wilderness recreation permits that might be needed at these locations. If any of these spots interest you, feel free to reach out for camping recommendations and ideas on what to do while you visit!Other things to noteThe only thing I would like to reiterate here is the extra cleaning fee for dogs, no smoking in the vehicle please, and to let me know if your plans extend beyond the daily mile limit. Thanks for looking through the listing, and feel free to reach out with any questions.
