Meet your host, Amy

Member since 2020

We are an active, outdoorsy family of four; if we aren't at work and school we are out enjoying Montana and the mountains. We love to play and travel in all seasons and some of our local favorites besides camping are paddle boarding, floating, hiking and soaking. The outdoors is the antidote to today's troubled world and we love helping others get out for some respite and recreation!

We just got back from an amazing trip Bozeman -> Yellowstone ->Grand Tetons -> Jackson and back up to Bozeman! The Falcon was incredible! Amy was very responsive to all my questions during the planning process since it was our first time to Montana and Wyoming. They dropping The Falcon on at the airport for us and showed us how to use the tent in the parking lot. The bed was very comfy never woke up sore like I do if sleeping on the ground! We really enjoyed our trip and would recommend to anyone!

We had a great experience renting with Amy. They met us at the airport and went over the camper with us. It came with everything we needed for our camping trip. The rooftop tent appeared brand new and was very comfortable. And when Our flight got canceled they went out of their way to accommodate us.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We work from home so we are very flexible with pick up and drop off times. Let us know what you need and where you want to meet. We are happy to meet you at the airport and will arrange to retrieve the vehicle from the airport upon your departure if you'd like.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
We will run through operation of all items until you feel comfortable. The goal is for you to have a fun, safe and hassle free trip. We will set up and put away the tent with you before you go. We will include a step stool for all you shorties out there as it does take a little extra reaching and ability to climb a ladder is required to use this set up. This youtube video includes a set up tutorial, starting at 4:52 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJRNjDxqiqA

Q.Are campground reservations required?
A.
Many established state campgrounds require reservations. They all include a few first come, first serve sites that you can grab early in the morning and easier on weekdays. Go to recreation.gov to reserve campsites. National Forests near us include Custer-Gallatin, Absaroka, Gallatin-Madison and Bridger-Teton Ranges. Boondocking, dry and primitive camping is allowed in all national and state forests. Look for fire rings.

Q.Do I need special fishing or floating permits?
A.
The Smith River requires a reservation. Fishing requires a Montana License available at Ace Hardware, Walmart, Bob Wards or local fishing stores Regular river use is free access at fishing access sites
