2015 Thor Majestic
#Trudy, my 25' Class C Thor Majestic, had a previous life as a Cruise America rental vehicle. She was my pandemic impulse purchase, and I had the winter of my life driving around the country and teaching remotely from the road. In keeping with the Norse Mythology theme, I chose the name Trudy for the Norse Goddess Thrud, who (depending on the source), was said to be the Goddess of inherent female power, flowers, trees, and grass. She's proven herself to be #TriedandTrudy for sure! Here are some details:Sleeping

Hi, I'm Meghan! I'm a teacher in the Greater Boston area, and have always had dreams of owning an RV and seeing the sights from the comfort of my own "home". During the pandemic, I decided that it was time for me to turn all those obstacles into opportunities, so I bought my first RV! I picked #Trudy up in Florida and spent the next month exploring and teaching from the road. I don't know if I'll ever have the opportunity to teach from the road again, but if I do I'll definitely bring my cat Zola (short for Gorgonzola) with me. My favorite thing about traveling in #Trudy is that I could be in a new place every day and still feel like I had the comforts of home around me. What a joy! I can't wait to get back on the road again, and in the mean time, I hope you can #BeTrudyYourself and have an adventure of your own.

Affordable & Adventurous - Excellent value and Meghan is really good in explaining most of the things required for the first time RV renters and making sure we are comfortable driving around. RV seems to be little old with some rattling noises when driving other than that rest is great.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Driving Trudy the RV feels like driving a U-Haul. She's 12' tall (no storrow drive!), 25' long, and plenty heavy. Use your mirrors, ask a buddy for help when you're backing up, and remember that any type of speed change will take longer than you're used to in a regular passenger vehicle.
Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
All of Trudy's hookups are on the driver's side. She has a 30 amp plug and adaptors for 20 and 50 amps. For water, attach the white hose to the collar in the back, screw the other end into the spigot at your campsite, and open the spigot a quarter turn. Make sure the interior pump is off! Sewer is down low: remove the end cap, attach the sewer hose, and only open the valves once the hose is 4-5" down the dump site pipe. Black first, then grey.
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
In order to allow adequate time to clean and prep Trudy between rentals, pickup time is at 3 pm and drop-off is by 11.
If you have a different request, just ask! I will do my best to accommodate and find a solution that works for all of us. Whether that's doing your training walkthrough remotely or a day early, we can get creative and figure it out. I also offer a self check-out option for easy returns.
