We absolutely loved our trip. Sasamat is well equipped for camping. The bed is comfy and we had all the things we needed to make coffee and lovely meals. Highly recommend booking with Clare. Communication was easy. Until next time

The van is nice and in good condition for its age. It is easy and quick to setup in camping and road mode. The communication with owners was great prior and during trip. They shared good points of interest for our trip.
Note that with this van, you must not be rush.

Renting Sasamat was ideal to travel around BC and exceeded our expectations. It was spacious and comfortable for two people. The kitchen was well equipped and convenient to have onboard. The only downfall was having a cooler instead of a fridge. The pop-up tent was also very comfortable to sleep in. Overall, I would highly recommend Sasamat as it was the highlight of our trip! Wonderful experience! Thank you Clare!

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host

Q.Can Sasamat go to the USA?
    A.
No. We request that Sasamat stays in BC.

Q.We are planning a trip through the Rockies. Can Sasamat handle this journey?
    A.
The honest answer is, probably. But we are discouraging bookings that involved longs days of driving and big mountain roads. If you are an experienced Westy driver please get in touch and we can chat about it. If not, please consider a more sturdy, modern vehicle for your adventure!

    Q.Can children travel in Sasamat?
    A.
Yes! But with some conditions. There are no car seat harness points so children must be big enough to use a booster/not require one. Two kids can fit comfortably on the back seat and in the top bunk but it makes for a squishy time if it is poor weather and there are four people all trying to read books, play games and cook dinner in there!

Q.What about the top bunk? Is it safe for kids?
    A.
The top bunk is where our child usually sleeps. It is a DROP however from there to the floor. Please consider if your child is old enough and responsible enough to handle the climb up and down, and doesn't risk falling out. Sasamat is NOT a toy. Access to the top bunk involves using the stove cover as a step. It is also a lot of fun up there. We request that it is used only for sleeping or for "quiet time". Any damaged due to mis-use will be the responsibility of the renter. T
