John rented us a van that had repeated mechanical issues, including bad spark plugs that led to a flashing CEL-level engine misfire, three AC failures in peak summer heat (we had our dog with us), a failed starter, and dry-rotted tires. We were stranded a total of three times—once from the engine misfire and twice due to the failed starter.
