About this RV

Ranger is ready to go where ever you will take him. Equipped with the NuCamp TAG Boondock package, this little teardrop trailer will smoothly tackle anything from a relaxing campground to an intense offroad trail. Ranger's hatchback galley comes equipped with a two-burner stove, sink, microwave, lighting, and great Bluetooth speakers. In the cabin, you will find a great memory foam, king-sized bed, overhead and individual reading lights, a 19" TV with cable hookup/Hdmi plugin, and an interior stereo and Bluetooth system.

All over Ranger, both inside and out, you can find 110V and 12V plugs to power all of your devices, ranging from your phone to game console. Ranger also features a two-way fan, multiple windows, an AC unit, and heater, all to create the perfect temperature-controlled environment (just make sure to use shore power or a generator when running the AC unit or heater). Please read the entire listing prior to booking for a complete list of amenities.

Pickup time is 6 pm and drop off is 12 pm on the final day of rental. If you want an early pickup or late drop-off, I will attempt to coordinate with you and I will make every attempt to accommodate your requests. However, there is no guarantee.

The rental includes basic cookware, utensils, soap, paper, dishcloths, and all cables required for power and water hookups. The cabin heater and AC unit can both be used if hooked up to shore power.

Pet policy: if your furry friend(s) are tagging along on your adventure, please ensure all pet hair is cleaned prior to dropping off. There will be an additional fee for any damages or necessary excessive cleaning caused by your pets.

Off-Roading Policy: If plan on taking Ranger on any difficult off-road trails, you must have copious amounts of experience, not just off-roading, but off-roading while towing a trailer. Prior to your departure, please disclose if you will be travelling on any medium to difficult 4x4 trails.

Recommendations

RV CAMPGROUNDS:

Winding River Resort: Located in Rocky Mountain National Park, just north of Grand Lake, Winding River Resort tops our list for its location alone. The hiking, wildlife viewing, climbing, cycling, fishing, and horseback riding opportunities of the National Park are all right at your doorstep.

Garden of The Gods RV Resort: Garden of the Gods RV Resort is located just south of the exquisite Garden of the Gods park. An hour and a half south of Denver and minutes away from Colorado Springs, this campground offers sweeping views of Pikes Peak in the distance.

Mountaindale RV Resort: Mountaindale Campground and Cabins offers you a beautiful, woodsy escape about half an hour south of Colorado Springs, just off of CO-115.

DISPERSED CAMPING AREAS:

Pike National Forest: For those looking for a more rugged trip, the vast Pike National Forest offers dispersed camping almost anywhere within its leafy borders. Set up camp and seek out adventure on popular trails such as The Crags or Horsethief Falls. Wind up the mountain on the rustic Old Stage Road, a dirt road that features roadside and meadow camping just past the first several miles.

Red Canyon Park: Enjoy a variety of red rock formations alongside 600 acres of pinon and sage, and red rock formations to explore. While camping is free, you must set-up in the designated campground. There are a few pavilions and picnic tables as well as fire pits on site.

Texas Creek: West of Canon City, this is a popular high-use area for motorized recreation users. Campers will soak in stunning views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range and find a mix of juniper, scrub and pinon pine trees. Keep your eyes peeled for elk, deer and bighorn sheep.

Other things to note

Cameron is such an amazing guy. He was very kind and helped with every single question. I've never used a trailer before but the walk through was absolutely amazing. The actual tear drop was very clean and comfortable. I would absolutely rent with him again! (Thank you for making Valentine's Day unique and special.)

Cameron,

Thanks for the great experience with "The Ranger". Even though the snowstorm shortened my adventure I enjoyed every minute. I appreciate your attention to detail and willingness to accommodate my schedule.
