Other things to noteSafety:
- Avoid slamming on brakes at all times.
*Pump brakes if you need to stop suddenly for any reason. Please never slam and hold down the brakes. Tires can melt and pop causing a a crash, causing thousands in damages.
- When using your trailer brake settings, you should be fine with 3.5 to 4.5 max, and never have to squeeze the inside brake levels on your dash, unless emergency, and please ask about this. It is desgined to skid the trailer brakes, for example, if swaying but since we have a Sway Bar included with your rental, you should never have to do this.
- PLEASE always drive slower than speed limit, 10 to 15 under Limits, as many people pull in front of you, who are ignorant to the 8k lbs that you have in tow.
* Rule: Be prepared for the idiots on the road, when driving!
- Towing is easy. Backing up is little harder, but you will get comfortable, if you even ever have to back up. Many RV Resorts have pull through.
- Pulling into Gas Stations, always first choose station with parallel drive thru pumps, not the ones perpendicular to the building. Trust me! People will park and block you, and you may get stuck, and need to backup, vs pull thru.
- Always remember to check Blinkers, and Brake Lights, and make sure the 2 Step is pushed in, as tickets for leaving steps out, never mind risk of damages, is min of $350, now in most US States.
- Always remember to turn off the Propane Tank, when driving, OK, now make that 15 Steps! I just added Propane OFF, as 15th step!
- Sometimes the GFI outlets will kick - so any power issues, check those.
- Email a list of questions a day or two prior, vs texting questions 1 by 1, as your trip approaches.
- Bring a cooler as back up for dairy items, as long trips, the fridge is not ON and things can be warmer than you prefer. We do turn on fridge the night before, and its usually cold, at 34 to 38 when you leave.
- Always remeber that awning needs to be rolled back up, if Windy out at all. Those can tear off with one good gust of wind, and it's over $1k to repair, or replace.
- Anything that breaks or any damages, please make sure to alert us. Any items broken, and not reported, or if you bring a pet onbaord without alerting us, the fine is doubled.
- Any traffic tickets received - you must alert us, as we can charge x2 the cost/fees, for failure to alert us in time - and Outdoorsy supports these x2 charges 100%.

Such disappointment! Our RV was filthy at time of pick up. The hot water didn’t work, the toilet was damaged and was unusable, the controls for the oven overhead hood was actually Tate over so we weren’t able to use. Many of the lights were burnt out. When we first picked it up, we spent hours cleaning. We spent an enormous amount of money on this rental only to have it be damaged on the exterior, terribly filthy, and main aspects of the RV, not working. Thank goodness where we went was beautiful and had great showers. But to pay top dollar for a bargain basement RV was extremely disappointing. I will never do this again!

Great rental. Chris was very responsive and the airstream was as nice as it looks online!

Our experience in the Airstream was great! The interior aesthetics were contemporary and welcoming as pictured; lots of natural light through the many windows along with light-colored materials make it a great place to spend time. We paid the extra money to have it stocked with linens and kitchenware so it had all we needed for a weeklong stay. I'd highly recommend renting this Airstream.

July 20204
My husband and 2 kiddos (5.5 yo and 2.5yo) rented Chris' Airstream over the 4th of July Holiday. Chris was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout our first-ever Airstream/RV excursion. There's a lot to understand and get used to, and he was sure to point out what we needed to know prior to departure and then also respond quickly while we were out on the road. We didn't book our camp spot early enough to get one with a hookup, so we had to use a generator. That was a finicky first go, but we eventually made it work. I was a little COVID concerned, and Chris was nice enough to understand and remove all the linens, silverware, cookware, etc., prior to my family coming aboard. If I weren't so concerned with COVID, Chris has this Airstream fully stocked and ready to go! I would only say that the refrigerator never really gets *super* cold. It's cold enough, but you couldn't expect to keep things frozen in the freezer. Bring coolers! Otherwise, a wonderful first-time RV experience! Thanks for everything, Chris.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
1. Unit is 30 AMP. And we have surge protectors for power protection.
2. Water is standard garden hose connection, and we have pressure controller, to avoid any water damages.
3. Sewage drain is simple, and we have gloves, but we teach you how to use it. You only need to connect it, when ready to leave a camp site, to empty tanks. Tanks don't fill up too fast unless you use shower, fro gray water. Black water is usually 3-4 days til; empty, but there are gauges inside, to check.
Q.Is trailer towing difficult, as we are new to trailers!
A.
Trailers are easier to drive than Class C or A RVs.
They trail you when you drive forward, like a tail so you'd be surprised how amazing the turning radius is, with trailers.
*Backing up, takes some time to get use to, but ask for Pull through camp sites, and then its rare that you will need to backup. And if you need to Backup, just go very slow, and don't be afraid to start over and over, until you line up.
We may have backup camera this year with our truck rentals, so inquire on that.
Q.We are looking to buy an Airstream and want to know if we could test a long weekend, with your unit!
A.
We rent at weekly rates during In-Season, but Off-season is a great time to test our a long weekend! This unit is one of the most sought after models - Serenity, and the same for families, so everyone loves to test this unit!
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
1. Yes and No -
But you learn everything, because we offer you a 1Hr training, Walk Thru, upon PickUp.
*Full walk thru of instruments, and connections, and plenty time for your questions.
