Mindi,I am so sorry your experience using our RV was so terrible. I also have to apologize again that the fridge was not working. We offered to cancel the trip and take the charges for the trip (you would not have been charged) but you declined. This was after you wanted us to cancel the trip a week prior due to medical reasons. I have an autoimmune disorder that puts me in the hospital multiple times a year, if I had to cancel due to my medical problems, I would pay. I would not ask the person I’m renting from to take the charges due to my life. Now as I said above, when it came to the fridge not working, we would have taken the fee and charged you nothing, but that is because this is on me. You did not want to cancel the trip. You took the rig knowing that the fridge wasn’t working and accepted the ice chest for your food supplies (this was a large ice chest). Now, I also gave you a low review, but I’m going to explain to others why this review is here. Mindi and her family picked up the rig and the chaos began. They attached a bike rack without permission AND did damage to the rear bumper when they backed into something. They broke the door latches on the “house” door. They drove over 3,000 miles in the rig and got upset that we charged them for the miles. I took $100 off their mile fee as a courtesy to the fridge not working. We also provided an ice chest for them to use during their trip.To top my experience off with these renters, the day the rig was meant to be returned, I contacted the renters to ask what time I could expect them. I was told they were not in the state and they would return the RV the next day possibly. After a certain time on the day that they had booked their return, insurance on the rig ends. So I contacted Outdoorsy (instead of the police) and asked them to step in. I then became the villain because they had to pay another night of having the RV. They thought this was unfair and why couldn’t they just keep the rig an extra night without paying. They also (we discovered later) drove on a toll road, did not pay, and we got stuck with the bill. Thank you for that. They were extremely rude and destructive. These renters have no respect for your property. Don’t rent to them if you are a fellow owner looking at this. It’s not worth it.If you are a renter, please know I am laid back and I usually would have no problem if you get into town late and ask to return the RV the next day…but you need to communicate with me instead of it being a last minute “oh hey we aren’t returning the rv today”. The fridge is fixed and the rig is running great. These renters told me that the alignment was off, I drove it to check to see if it needed to go into the shop…it drove great. Just like an RV or large and top-heavy vehicle.Again, I apologize for your horrible experience Mindi, but it was not at my fault that your trip was so horrible.
