Hey there! I'm a camping aficionado who works in higher education and saving to live life on the road full time. I can't wait for you to fall in love with Jean Claude like I did - bonus points if you know the Netflix show that inspired his name!

Kelsey was great to work with, great communication, Van was equipped as described, it’s a really great van!
Only issue we had was the bed being a little short, we needed something over 6’ the van is not quite that wide, but totally manageable!
Very enjoyable experience!

Kelsey was a wonderful host! Very communicative, helpful, and answered all of our questions. The tour of the van before we left was super thorough and we had well thought out manual to bring with us. The van fit 2 people perfectly. We were warm and comfortable in the chilly fall Colorado mountains. It was great to have a reliable little home with a kitchen, water, power, compost toilet and more no matter where we ended up on our road trip. Kelsey included pretty much everything we needed; stove, fuel, plates, french press, bottle and can openers, soap, shampoo, sheets, blankets, and more. And the addition of the movie collection and projector was such a nice touch! The van was great for driving throughout the mountains, highways, and in town. Not too big but definitely not too small for space either. We're so glad we rented through Kelsey as an LGBTQ+ friendly host!

Kelsey is the best host! She gave a great overview of the van and we loved her enthusiasm for van life! The van was awesome for a stay up in Eldora, it had everything we needed. Even though we mostly cooked outside with propane stove, we were impressed with the solar panels and how well it powered the microwave and electric burner inside. Comfy bed and easy to use toilet system.

Kelsey’s answer

Hi Kathleen and Kathryn! Thanks so much for renting JC. I had such a wonderful time getting to know you both, loved your pictures of vanlife adventuring, and hope we stay in touch. Thank you for the feedback!

Kelsey’s answer

Thank you for being such a stellar first renter, Caleb! It was so fun getting to know you better, seeing your gorgeous film from your trip to Crested Butte and Aspen, and hope to host your family next summer. Cheers!

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
Electric: Batteries charge with solar & while driving! Also, external power hook up on passenger side rear. It’s a shore plug inlet that uses a standard extension cord - needed for hot water. Water: There's a 30 gallon fresh water tank in the storage facility under the bed in the back if you need to fill it up. Use the stretchy water hose (with an inline water filter) to fill it. Sewage: It's a compost toilet, with coconut peat included! Overwhelmed? We'll cover all this!

Q.What is required of me when I return the van?
A.
Please refill the gas tank and in general return it in the cleanliness condition you received it (NO need to refill the water tank, wash linens, or deep clean - wash dishes, sweep, & toss trash & recycling). Please empty the composting toilet, especially liquids (we will cover how to do that - we include composting bags for the solid waste compartment, it's very easy). Use your best judgment and ask if you're unsure.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I will try to be as flexible as I can to requests, but it's dependent on other reservations and availability. In general, I work 9-5 M-F, remotely Mondays and Fridays. If you'd like to pick up earlier than 9am on T-R, that would be great - drop-off is very flexible, especially if it's the same day. When in doubt, message me and we'll try to make it work.

Q.How do I get to the van/Fort Collins easily?
A.
If you're flying into Denver International Airport, I recommend Groome Shuttle. It's $29 one way, per person - get a ride from the airport with them to CSU Transit Center in Fort Collins and I will pick you up! Or look up Bustang. Driving? Great! We have loads of free, safe, off-street, uncovered parking for you to leave a car, grab Jean Claude, and head out - I'll keep an eye on things for you. Just message in advance so we can coordinate.
