Recommendations_ Recommendations (Camp sites)Hosmer Grove Campground - Haleakala National ParkMany visitors will wake up at 2:00AM to make the long drive/tour up to the summit of Haleakala just to catch the sunrise. Others will arrive hours early to save a spot for the sunset show. However, only a few get to see both! This is just one of the many reasons to camp overnight at Hosmer Gove Campground. You can arrive mid-day and hike the trails of Haleakala then return to the summit to watch the sunset. In the morning you can awake to the spectacular sunrise! The added bonus, because you are camping in the park, you don’t need to get the otherwise required “sunrise viewing reservations.” All you will need is a park pass, purchased at the entrance, currently $25.00. The park pass is good for 3 days so you have plenty of time to see all the sights including a sunrise AND sunset!

Both car and camper are good quality and we had good trip but, communication with host was difficult (aligning on pick up/drop off, follow up on issues and making excuses about them)
Host name is listed is Maria, but all comms was with Juan (which looked suspicious)

Highly recommend renting this camper van.
We had a brilliant 4 days cruising round the island, exploring beaches, volcanoes, coves and local hot spots. The truck had everything we needed and was extremely clean, comfortable and efficient.
Maria and Juan were super helpful, offering local recommendations and giving us a thorough overview of how everything in the truck worked 👍. We were camping novices and found the truck so easy to drive and it had all the amenities required.
