Better mileage than comparable vans and RVs (~18 MPG highway), and a generous 200 miles per day is included so you can venture further with peace of mind. There are 13 national parks within an 8 hour drive from SLC. There are 1/2 dozen ski resorts and summer mountain resorts within about 45 minutes, and a few more within a few hours. Utah has vast stretches of BLM land and off-pavement tracks to explore. We love getting away, and then getting a bit further out into the landscape where we can do the nature-bathing we have come to view as essential for our well-being. One of our recent favorites was camping in Boulder, UT. We found a site that required 4x4 and low range to access, but was within 45 minutes of some of the finest dining around at Hells Backbone Grill, and gorgeous panoramic views, hikes, a river... Happy times and lifetime memories. Let's get you some of That!Fozzie accommodates two adventurers comfortably. She includes two forward-facing seats. (Please let us know if you would like additional seating - that can be arranged with lead time). Those seats can also swivel around for hangout mode, with a dining table handy nearby. She sports a high-end comfortable foam mattress, four fluffy pillows and luxurious linens for your slumbering pleasure.Fozzie is a minimalist build, allowing for flexibility in how she is used.

She has a roof-top cargo rack and a trailer hitch for taking on even more cargo.Fozzie has a kitchen built out with the essentials for easy van life: sink, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, induction range, and capacity for 10 gallons of potable water. She is equipped with pots, pans, kitchen utensils, plates and flatware, so you can dine in comfort around the campfire, or inside at the dining table. For getting yourselves clean, we have a solar-shower that is perfect for outdoor sudsing and scrubbing. It has a separate water supply from the drinking water. For doing business, van-campers usually use a gas station or campground bathroom, or a tree if we are backwoods. Fozzie also has a cassette toilet for when the weather or circumstance calls for getting business done in the van.Power-wise, Fozzie is mostly just always on for you. With 200 AH batteries and solar charging, she has enough juice for boondocking and staying cool even on hot days, or staying hot on cold days. My love of adventuring outdoors was nurtured when I was a little boy. Our family travelled through most of the West via RV while I was growing up. Thanksgiving on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Labor Day weekend driving the coast from Vancouver, BC down to California, etc... Many years later, we are on our third customized van (rent it on Outdoorsy) and I am running a van customization, service, and rental business. Do you have a van build in mind, or need service for your van - let us know!

Q.How do the electric hook ups work while setting up at the campground?
A.
Electric: You likely will not need to hook to shore power because of the solar. But if you do want to you can run the range, microwave, water pump, and AC outlets from shore power by plugging an extension cord into the port on the inside back/left wall of the van. Or you can use the charger to top-up the batteries one at a time. unplug the anderson cord going battery to wall, plug in the charger anderson cord and plug the charger into shore power. Be sure to then charge the other battery too.
Q.How do I empty the cassette toilet?
A.
Remove the toilet from the wood box, and move it outside the van. Separate the top and bottom by pulling the lever and jiggling the bottom away. (Note any liquid at this point is likely to come from the seat or fresh water side, but be mindful.) Twist the gray tube away from the tank and unscrew the cap to dispose of the contents properly (often, in a toilet).
Rinse the tank to flush any remaining contents.
Reassemble and return the toilet to its home in the van.
Q.How do I use the cassette toilet?
A.
Fozzie has a cassette toilet under the wood box just inside the sliding door.
To operate: do your business, pump in water as needed using the accordion-looking button on the left behind the seat, and flush contents into the cartridge using the foot pedal on the front.
Q.How do I connect to the Bluetooth stereo?
A.
The stereo is located in the middle of the backsplash on the kitchen counter. To turn on the stereo, push the SRC button in the middle until the buttons glow blue - for bluetooth. (If they glow purple, push SRC again to switch back to blue). The stereo will search for a pairing partner whenever it is not connected - open your phone Bluetooth settings and connect to the stereo. Party on.
