Located in Kahului on the beautiful island of Maui, Maui Wowie is one of Campervan Hawaii’s most popular campervans to explore this island with. This modern European design by Hymer Group in Germany has the perfect balance of modern design and great functionality which makes it a customer favorite. It seats and sleeps 4 (2 adults & 2 children) and has an indoor bathroom with a shower, a queen bed, a full kitchen including a sink, fridge/freezer, microwave and a 2 burner stove. It has 12V and 120V outlets throughout and has screen doors for the side and rear, an optional front bed to sleep up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, and comes with tons of storage. It has great nighttime ventilation and has a nighttime A/C system that can keep you cool on those warm Hawaiian nights. (see below for information on using nighttime A/C)Arriving:
Our standard check-in time is 3:00PM. If available, you may be able to checkin sooner for an additional fee of $10/hr should you want your campervan earlier than 3:00PM. Let us know if you would like early check-in and we will try and accommodate you but it is not guaranteed. We are located at 230 Hana Highway #9 which is around 2 miles from the Kahului (OGG) airport. The best way of getting there is by using a rideshare like Uber or Lyft and alternatively there are taxis but they tend to be more expensive. Once there, we will go over the campervan with you, teach you how to use it, answer any questions you might have and will get you on the road.Camping:

Campervan Hawaii
"We started renting campervans out of our love for being on the road and sleeping in a different spot every night and are excited to share our favorite way to travel with other outdoor and van life enthusiasts. We’ve been exploring the mainland by van for over 20 years and love the freedom it provides. After our last extended vacation in our mainland home-on-wheels we realized it would be a great way to explore these island gems of Hawai'i! When home is where you park it, there are more hours to play the day away!"

Great experience taking Maui Wowie around the island. Very comfortable bed and the AC is a great option to have for the hot nights. Highly recommend!

The campervan was great! It was easy to get around with. Parking was sometimes an issue, but that is a general issue on the island. Everything worked as expected. Camp Olowalu and Hosmer Glen are both great spots to park for the night.

From the first time we attempted to use the sink it was stopped up and took hours to drain. Because of this we only cooked one meal in the van and shifted to eating out during our use. Unfortunately, I had spent nearly $200 on food to cook in the van that largely went to waste. Upon the Van's return Nate admitted that the drain sometimes plugs and that he blows it out from time to time. That's not OK. The drain should work 100% of the time and be checked prior to any use. I'd recommend changing out the Hepvo valve in it before it is rented again.

The trip was great!!!! From start all was smooth and well organized. We got to the pickup place two hours earlier and John let us leave our luggage at their shop and recommended a nice lunch place near by. We picked up the Rv at 3 pm and after a short check out process we hit the road. We had some trouble with the Rv on Christmas Day ( hit a pothole and got some mechanical trouble ) but John and Sean were a big help!!!!! We used our road assistant that we pay a little extra when we booked a trip, and Sunday a great driver from towing company 808 Towing Stu, got us safely back driving on Hana Road back to the Outdorsy rental place where next morning Sean fix the RV in two hours ,and we were back on the road again. John was in contact with us all the time through that stressful time. It turned out there was nothing to worry about we were in good hands. The things we were able to see on the island verse breath taking and we literally drove the whole island. The RV was a little to low for some of the Mauis roads especially the one e in the parks but we made it!!! You have all you need in the RV. Some things saw a better days but all still works. The return process was smooth as well. Overall Great trip. We highly recommended.

We loved the Maui Wowie campervan. It was perfect for us! We saw the island the way we wanted and experienced so much this more with a van vs. a resort. This particular van drove really well and was a luxury to have the extra space. Campervan Hawaii was awesome to work with!!!
