Introducing our 2nd of 3 additions to the rental fleet at Big Island Campers dot com - our camper vans just keep getting better with each custom build. This time, we've put renters at the forefront of our minds, and the result is a camper van that we're confident will be a favorite. What makes this van so special? Well, we've thought of everything to ensure that your stay in Hawaii is nothing short of amazing. First off, there's the 30 gallon fresh water tank, along with a hot outdoor shower and kitchen sink complete with a filter system for drinking water. The pull-out refrigerator and slide-out butcher block cutting board make meal prep a breeze, while the red cedar kitchen counter top with a live edge and cedar trim throughout the van add a touch of rustic charm.Whether you want to cook indoors or outdoors, our camper van has you covered with its indoor/outdoor camp stove. And when it's time to rest, you'll appreciate the full-sized bed, that is always available to crash in without converting anything. Next to the bed is plenty of storage in the cubbies for your clothes. The passenger seat swivels around to create a comfortable living area, and the cedar chest provides extra seating while also storing cookware, dishes, utensils, and pantry items.
What makes this camper unique is the kitchen table that is secured to the ceiling until needed, it then hangs from the ceiling to give you a perfectly level table regardless if you found a level parking spot or not.Leveling blocks are included when parking for the evening. Indicator bubbles are located on the ceiling in the cab for easy reference for the driver.Enjoy music from the upgraded bluetooth sound system. The dimmable LED lights set the perfect mood, and the Maxx Air 14" ceiling vent fan keeps things cool and comfortable. USB charging station above the counter will keep your phones and cameras charged, with the 150 W solar panel, you won't have to worry about draining the battery when you're not driving. What's includedFresh linens, Shower towels,
Kitchen cookware, plates and utensils, French press.
Refrigerator.RecommendationsTour the island! Go to South point and cliff jump or snorkeling. The stars at night down there are Amazing!!!
Head to Pahoa for Sunday nude beach and drum circles. Volcano national park to see the volcano. Visit Kamana Caves near Hilo where you can hike for hours into the earth down a lava tube. Visit the botanical gardens just north of Hilo. See Akaka falls, Kolekole beach park. Hike Waipio Valley. Visit the cute little town of Hawi at the northern tip of the island. Kapaa State park is a great place to camp, snorkel and whale watch during the winter months. Mahukona is an old harbor that has excellent snorkeling and a huge anchor just out from shore. Be careful of strong currents here though. Tons of beautiful reef fish. Next stop is Puako another good place to camp and snorkel. I have a map in the van on the counter that shows all this and much much more. I will send you pin drops for Google maps of places to camp for free and some of my favorite places to go.Other things to noteIf fuel isn't filled when returned, there's a $25 fee charge + the amount of the fuel.

After building my first camper van (Kozy Koa) and living in that while traveling around the island for about 8 months I decided I loved the freedom of living the van life, but I needed to be able to stand up in my van. So I bought a Mercedes Sprinter van that I now live in full time and started renting out Kozy Koa. I loved hearing the stories from my renters about how they loved the van and how much of the island they were able to see. I decided to build another van and we now have added Lil Honu which was designed as a rental so it has some really nice upgrades. I am currently building another van which should be available by November. At least that's the goal. It will have all of the upgrades that Lil Honu has and then some. She's called Da Dolphin.

The best camper van we ever had!
The facilities are outstanding (hot shower, stove, refrigerator, multimedia box etc..), awesome design, and Dug the owner was super! Showed us great places to check out in the island and was very friendly and kind!
If you think about travelling the Big Island - that’s THE BEST way to do it.
