"Blue Moon" is my 2022 El Kapitan Dreamweaver (Mercedes Sprinter conversion). It's taken me and my family (including two young kids) all across North America. I know it'll be perfect for your family, because it's been perfect for mine.Blue Moon is a "Second Edition" model, meaning it has two rear dinette sofas that convert into a queen size bed. You can also set up a bed above it, creating queen bunks beds.Action shots of the van are from my personal trips, and some accessories have been removed for rental friendliness (winch/bumper and rear boxes for instance). Feel free to watch El Kapitan's walk through of the Dreamweaver. While the video shows a "First Edition" model, the listing pictures are of the actual van. https://youtu.be/Tulf_HU7t_o?si=m95MAndCm0yH82utOther features include:Apple CarPlay/Bluetooth/SiriusXM sound system

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook ups work while setting up at the campground?
A.
I'll provide a video upon confirmed reservation that explains these systems. Of note... if not at a campground with hookups, you'll need to periodically empty the grey water tank to ensure it doesn't back up into the shower. The frequency you'll need to do this will depend on your fresh water use. I would recommend not using the indoor shower unless you have sewer hook ups available.

Q.Does Blue Moon use diesel or gasoline fuel?
A.
Blue Moon is a diesel fuel only vehicle, which may come with additional maintenance based on the distance you'll be driving. For longer trips, you may need to refill a small tank in the engine bay with something called Diesel Exhaust Fluid. The tank will be filled upon pick up, and shorter trips will most likely not require any maintenance. Please see the following video for details: https://youtu.be/Lx7elx415AQ?si=_RHVpqq2ZZR-t7mj

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating Blue Moon easily?
A.
Yep! To be sure you're ready to go on day 1, I'll provide a full walk through video detailing all systems upon confirmed reservation. That way, you can make note of anything you have additional questions on, and we can discuss during pick up.

Q.Is Blue Moon a 4x4? Can I offroad in it?
A.
While Blue Moon does have 4WD, it's really only meant for extra traction during rain/snowy weather. Blue Moon is only for camping in legal areas that can be accessed via legal roads (legal dirt roads ok if meant for normal street vehicles). Being a large van, off-road trail use is prohibited.
