The total experience with the host and RV rental was horrible. The RV was returned on Sunday am at 9:00 and we were initially scheduled to pick it up between 1:00 -2:00. The host asked if we could pick it up by 10:00- so not sure how she had time to properly clean it and check it all out. He agreed on a 11:00 pickup time with me rushing to accommodate her family picnic. We arrived 30 minutes late and she got mad. Excuse me I did my best to move my pickup time earlier for her picnic. She rushed through the instructions for proper usage of the RV. Luckily the campground host was nice enough to help hook up the sanitation. When I pulled out the hose he immediately saw that the adaptor for connection to the camper was broken and the adaptor for campground hookup was missing. I spent $36 for new hose and the campground lent me an adaptor. Then I contacted Monica via Outdoorsy regarding the side door. It was almost impossible to open so asked her if she could get an RV repair person to come and fix it. Her response was that the door always gets stuck so all I can tell you is to climb out of the cab. Well my sister is on oxygen with a cane so can’t climb out of a cab. This is a major safety issue. In fact she hurt her elbow and knee from trying to open the door from the outside. After returning from our trip she had to see on orthopedic doctor for her knee. Outdoorsy should vet all independent host like Monica. She never reimbursed for the broken hose or properly fixed the door which resulted in injury. She was very rude and really didn’t care about the issues with her camper.
