2The first issue we encountered was the RV was returned late and was not ready for Thursday morning pickup. 1. - RV had to be cleaned after late drop off 2. – The I was told it also had to be taken in for an Oil Change. Met the owner and did the walk around of the vehicle. We were specifically told there was no reason for us to be on the roof as there were solar panels on the roof and no need for us to be on top of the vehicle. After the walk through I had to follow the owner to a separate location 10 minutes away to assist in hooking up the trailer adding to the delay. Once trailer was connected and we drove back to pick up the car we were trailering we set out. So, the planned start time of 10am moved out until 4pm. Experiencing these delays caused us to have stop in a Travel Center overnight as we missed the check in time for the RV/Trailer parking lot at the event we were attending. I understand that sometimes unexpected issues arise, however the 2nd issue we encountered was once on the highway the RV steering wheel started to shake above 60 MPH, so the entire drive 400-mile drive was 60mph and under. Damage - We did experience an incident around Midnight the first night, where a Semi-Tractor Trailer driving in the next lane kicked up a piece of debris from the rode and put a gash in the side panel of the RV. I am addressing that issue with my primary insurance company after discovering the insurance I purchased via the Outdoorsy site to protect against such an incident is only a secondary insurance to my primary car insurance, which is likely to increase my rates. On the return trip I was instructed to return the trailer myself to the storage facility. To accomplish this, I messaged the owner for the address and was told "she did not know the address". I had to search for the company name she gave me to obtain the location to return and disconnect the owners trailer. Returned the trailer for the owner and then drove the RV back to their residence. Next, we started the walk around and I immediately began with the damage and discussed how to proceed with filing a claim. We continued with the remainder of the walk around and the owner took pictures. We then electronically signed the documents and thus ended our trip. The next day the owner texted me outside of the website and sent me pictures of a damaged skylight and stated that I was responsible. Please note the beginning of this review where we were specifically told not to go on the roof. There were no before pics of this skylight and there were zero instances were anything came near the top of the RV on the trip. The pictures the owner provided had someone standing on the top of the RV taking the picture. Note again we were told not to go on the top of the RV. The RV itself had nice interior amenities and everything worked as expected. Shower, refrigerator, Stovetop. The beds were comfortable, and linens and toiletries were provided. Air conditioning was great and would cool the RV down quickly providing some much-needed relief. I am hopeful we can resolve this matter amicably and fairly for all parties involved.
