About this RV

Custom built 2011 144" wheel base that has been called the "Rabbit Hole". A lot of attention to detail went into this Sprinter using locally sourced pallet hardwood from local breweries (grain pallets) as well as some beetle-kill pine. Trim around the doors and windows are naturally stained cedar and the ceiling is a collage of stained tongue and grove pine.

The lights are warm and easy on the eyes in the evening and mornings with soft turn dimmers. Like all "rabbit holes" this van will keep cool or warm depending on the weather. Thoroughly insulated and equipped w/an Espar diesel heater if the weather requires more than a blanket. The bed is a full size organic cotton futon mattress with compressed spring support. (Great after a long day biking or hiking!)

Speaking of storage, you can tuck two bikes under the bed. There's plenty of cabinets for storage, each with unique knobs collected at a bizarre while traveling through Portland.

There's a 16gal water tank inside the "garage" so as long as you keep the Espar on when you are not in the van for an extended block of time. There's a cassette porta-potty that stows away under the bench. There's also a 65 Qt fridge that is on a roll out shelf that can become a bench if needed.

Last but not least, electrical and tech! Pioneer Bluetooth-Enabled, Apple and Android friendly radio with an always on backup camera, 200 watts of solar feeding a 200 Ahr Battle Born Lithium batteries. There's also an auto-charge relay, meaning, while the engine/alternator are running, it then starts charging the "house" battery. This is a good charging alternative when the sun isn't shining and you are not driving between sites. There's also 2000W Inverter for your 120v needs.

**Note** Delivery/Pickup $150. An alternative to Lyft or Urber is the "Green Ride" which makes frequent direct trips to and from DIA and Longmont.

From start to finish, Nate was great to work with and the van more than suited our needs. We planned a cross country trip to visit family and paid for the extra miles ahead of time. Nate had new tires put on and a mechanic look over the van before we left, which gave us a boost of confidence. We got a great tutorial at pick up and Nate was responsive at all times when we asked questions through Ou…

Thank you for the kind words.. I wish you could have made your trip but obviously a pandemic takes priority. I hope your family stays healthy during these times. Maybe we'll cross paths again.

We had a great time on our adVANture in the Rabbithole! Nate was easy to work with and offered a smooth check in. His van looked cool and had everything we needed for camping in Wyoming, Montana & Yellowstone & the Rockies. The heater kept us toasty warm when it snowed. The front seats have great visibility for the scenery ahead. The engine ran strong and we felt very safe even in the mountain ro…

We had a great experience renting Nates’s van! Nate was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. We had never rented a personal vehicle before and he quickly answered all our questions and was extremely easy to communicate with . The van itself was awesome! We felt so comfortable in the van, it kept us warm on a cold night and cool during the day, and we loved all of the craftmanship and time he put into it . We loved our experience and would highly recommend renting through Nate!
