2002 Blue VW Westfalia Orlando

Renting this van for our trip was an opportunity of a lifetime! It was so much fun! my husband, myself and our three young boys took the van from Portland, to the coast and south to see the Redwoods and back up through central Oregon. The van was great! The owners and staff were incredibly helpful and easy to work with even when our flight was delayed and our pickup time, as well as our drop off time, were super inconvenient. Picking up the van was a breeze, as was dropping it off. We did have one small issue with the breaks, and replaced them on our trip which put us about a day behind schedule. However, the owners were incredibly helpful in getting the situation taken care of and of course, it was at no cost to us. They were very apologetic and sincere about any trouble that it may have caused us. I would 100% rent from this company again! The van was in great mechanical shape, ran like a dream, was clean and made for a real adventure! Even with three car seats and suitcases, it only took about 10 minutes to take the van from “vehicle” mode to “sleeper” mode! We took turns with the kids on the top and bottom beds, eventually realizing that they thought the top bed was “cooler” and we found the bottom bed to be more spacious for us adults. The built in curtains provide for excellent privacy. They literally just slide and snap together! There’s a table that folds up for eating and a built in cooler for snacks! Lots of storage under the bench seat and in the back! My husband was skeptical and couldn’t believe I talked him into driving a “hippie van” down the coast, but he loved it, I loved it, and the boys loved it! I 100% recommend renting this vehicle!

Great value. Good power in this VW van to handle long uphills at moderate to high speed. Has cruise control, which was very helpful for the long drive.

The van was in great shape for its age and the owner had even washed the outside despite freezing Portland weather. Super great host at communicating with us before, during and after our trip. The van space is very flexible and worked well for the two of us, esp with our removing one seat. Excellent padding in pop up for a good night's sleep. And the zipper windows up top made for good stargazing. Van handled slick roads well when we ventured through mountains.

The owner was extremely communicative and quick to respond. The van was clean and very well maintained, exactly as described in his listing. He was also willing to pick us up and drop us off at the airport, which really made things super smooth and easy. Overall a great enterprise. Easy going, friendly, and personable, the owner did whatever he could to accommodate us. We will definitely rent from him again for our next Northwest camping adventure.
