Frequently asked questions

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

Depends on the location and timing involved ona case to case basis. We have to work around our own work schedules and check in times of different varying locations. We try to be very accommodating. The owners are a night shift nurse and an independent contractor so our schedules are variable and can meld to the needs of most people.

Q.

Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?

A.

The USB/C ports only work when the room light is switched on. If you do not want lights on switch then off independently in the center of each one and you’ll maintain individual wall ports power.

Q.

What is the flexibility to change locations mid stay?

A.

That is fine we would require the guests to clean and prep the camper for travel as best they could prior to moving and add an additional fee as seen in add ons for the convenience as we would be tearing down and moving RV as if end and start of trip. Owners would prep the guests in how to store gear and do a walk through to secure items before travel. This is an additional $50 fee to the moving fees.

Meet your host, Carey

Hi, I’m Carey — owner of Alaska Restoration Works LLC — and I believe where you stay should feel just as good as where you’re going. With a background as a registered nurse and years of hands-on experience in construction and restoration, I take pride in creating spaces that are safe, clean, and genuinely comfortable. My partner Todd and I are local to Alaska and understand what it takes to make a stay here not just enjoyable, but easy. We don’t run a big rental fleet — this is a well-cared-for unit that we personally maintain and prepare for each guest. Whether you’re visiting for adventure, work, or a peaceful reset, we want you to feel like you’ve got a reliable basecamp waiting for you. We’re also flexible and easy to work with. Need delivery? Staying long-term? Not sure about hookups? We’ve got you. We’ll walk you through everything so you feel confident and comfortable from day one.
