Ready to make some memories and enjoy the great outdoors? "Vagabondo" is a vintage Travlite tent trailer and a great choice for campers that want an upgrade from sleeping in a regular tent on the ground. This spacious, comfortable and durable tent set up doubles as an indoor dining space (fits 4 people in dining mode) and converts to a spacious sleeper for a small family or couple (2 adults & small child). The additional 9x9 tent canopy with bug netting adds enclosed outdoor space, providing protection from the sun and unwanted critters.Vagabondo is the largest Travlite trailer model made. Easily stand up in the 6'6" interior. It has fold-out wing extensions that provide additional interior space. The unit set up and break down time is decent too (10-15 mins). Faster with 2 people but manageable with just one. The tent material is weatherproof and durable, unlike the typical tents on the common market. Vagabondo will provide dry shelter in rain or snow. Zippered mesh windows can be opened from inside the tent to allow for fresh airflow.
What's includedI'll provide some accessories that will be handy:
-Flashlight/string light lantern
-Hanging shelf unit
-Hanging storage bin for clothes, etc.
-Folding stair step
-Tent stakes, rope
-Wheel chocks
-Tool kit (basics just incase...?)
You will need to bring your own bedding.I also have available a large outdoor folding mat and a small electric space heater (needs a power source though). These take up space in the cargo area, so it's up to you if you want them depending on your storage needs.
RecommendationsThere are some awesome lakes, rivers and dry camping spots all over Arizona. My favorites are Lake Pleasant, Kaibab Lake, Flagstaff, Sedona and Cottonwood. Setting up along the lakeshore or riverside is a dream set up. Vagabondo doesn't take up much space at all, so she can squeeze into many locations that a normal RV can't.Other things to noteThere is about 20 cu ft of storage inside the trailer. The tent and canopy take up half of that space. The trailer has a roof rack on top that can hold additional light weight items. Pack accordingly, especially if you are towing with a motorcycle.Vagabondo has been outfitted with some new hardware to help with set up and storage. There are rubber latch handles that add redundancy to securing the top shell to the base, new barrel locks on the hatch door and shell clamp. 4-pin wiring connects to the tow vehicle. Vagabondo weighs 310 lbs dry. Loaded weight limit is 650 lbs.

The tent trailer is a vintage unit. Handle with care. Replacement parts most likely do not exist. Do not force any items (to open or close). There are two security locks (1) on the shell and (1) on the hatch door. The locks work well but should not be considered as 100% secure. Do not store valuable in the trailers. Do not exceed 65 mph when traveling. Drive on clearly paved roads only. Use caution when backing up. The trailer has has a low profile and may not be visible while backing in reverse. Please return the trailer in the same clean condition you picked it up. There is not much to clean so I expect the trailer to be cleaned properly.

    Frequently asked questions

    Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

    A.

I am open to making pick up and return easy. If you plan on leaving early in the morning, we can make arrangements to meet the night before at no extra charge. Same goes for pick up. If for some reason I need the RV back promptly, I'll let you know in advance.

    Q.

Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?

    A.

I will provide a link to documentation on how to set up and break down. Most likely a YouTube video or a PDF document that you can download before your trip.
