We are big believers in the magic of road trips, slow travel, and waking up somewhere beautiful in the PNW. After years of exploring in Juanita, we're excited to share that experience with others through Outdoorsy. This van once belonged to my grandparents in San Francisco and it's been in our care for more than 10 years. We’ve put a lot into maintaining the van so it’s comfortable, reliable, and road-ready for your next adventure. She has a brand new re-built GoWesty 2200cc engine, clutch pedal rebuild, new canvas pop-top and original upholstery. All the original charm with reliable machinery. She has a few dings on the exterior but that only adds to the charm! What's included• We can include a memory foam topper (it takes up space but it's quite comfortable!),
• Small cooler with ice pack
• 2 Camp chairs
• Outdoor rug
• Fairy lights
• Lantern
• Please note that she only take premium gasoline
• Let us know if there's anything else we can do to make your trip more comfortable!

Other things to noteTo keep things smooth and stress-free for both you and the van, your rental includes 125 miles per day—perfect for exploring at a relaxed, Westy-style pace (55-65 mph) and premium gas only. Need to go a bit farther? Additional miles are just $0.45 per mile. This helps us keep the van in shape for everyone to enjoy. It is very important that its driven slowly with love, and by someone experienced with handling this type of vehicle. This vehicle is basically an antique, please handle with care.

Juanita is a smooth running dream machine. A super comfy overnighter. Owner Shannon was an absolute pleasure to interact with – very responsive and stocked the van with top notch amenities. This was my first Outdoorsy experience and she made it so easy.

Had such a fun trip with this old school van. Shannon was super helpful and very quick to respond to any questions. If you’re nostalgic like me you’ll love taking this thing out!

Our trip was very comfortable and enjoyable. Driving a vehicle of this age requires extra care and patience, which I enjoy.

Rules and policies
• Must have experience driving stick • Must use premium gas • Take it slow – Cruise comfortably around 55–65 mph. These vans weren’t built for speed—and that’s part of the charm! • No sudden moves – Avoid fast acceleration, sharp turns, or slamming on the brakes. Treat it like the vintage vehicle it is. • Uphills – Downshift early and don’t push the engine. If it feels like it’s struggling, take a break or go around the hill if possible. • Braking – The brakes are solid, but not modern-car quick. Give yourself extra space and take your time slowing down.
