2003 Forest River Cardinal
Our 2003 Forest River Cardinal Fifth Wheel is an older unit but very comfortable. We have owned it now for about 6 years with my sister who is part owner of it. It has two slide outs one for the master bedroom which has the bed running left to right instead of front to back and the second slide out is the living and dining area. We completely went through this camper and have done many and continue to make improvements as we go. We are currently still redoing some of the upholstery remodeling to give it more of a modern look but unfortunately we only get to use it 3-4 times a year. My wife Christina and I have 3 young boys that absolutely love camping, s’mores , campfires and outdoors in general so we have decided to let other families enjoy the experience or if you are deciding weather its right for you before you buy one come give ours a try first. It has a queen bed in the master bedroom with a privacy curtain that can close it off from the bathroom and shower area. The toilet has its own door for privacy from the shower and sink area and the entire master quarters can be closed off from the living and kitchen area. The kitchen has a double sink with cutting board. The rear bunk room has a door to close it off also and there are drawers for clothes storage. There is a ton of storage above and below in this unit to store gear. Our camper is fully equipped with a water heater, stove, microwave, dual battery system and dual 30 LB. propane tanks and has roof top A/C and furnace for those cold nights. This unit has a newer patio awning and we have lights that can be put up if you would like to. I just installed more user friendly boarding steps that are way easier to go in and out of the camper. This camper sleeps 6 comfortably but you can sleep up to 8.What's includedWe have a Blackstone Griddle that can be rented for an additional fee or you can bring your own gas/charcoal grill whatever you prefer, there is a spare 20Lb. propane tank stored below. We have camp chairs, camping table, plastic table cloths, paper plates, bowls, plastic cutlery, patio mat, cookware, utensils, toaster, Kuerig and regular coffee maker along with linens and towels. If you wish to bring your own linens and towels please let us know. Must bring your own toiletries, shampoos, toothpaste, etc. The bunkroom has just mattresses which our boys use with their sleeping bags but can be made up with linens. We also have indoor and outdoor games, crossword puzzles, and some movies. We have a DVD player with color TV and the antenna will pickup local channels depending on where you camp. We also have a countertop ice maker that can be rented if needed, we use it at home also.RecommendationsWe have gone to mostly state parks but have camped at a few places like K.O.A in Lake Placid where there are lots to do there. Green Lakes State Park has biking, hiking, swimming and lots of nature. Old forge is an excellent area for camping as well. The longest we have gone with it so far is Letchworth State Park which was awesome. The Thousand Islands Region is also beautiful especially Wellesley Island State Park where there are hiking trails and lots of nature. Other things to noteAbsolutely NO smoking, pets or festivals. No walking on the roof please. All we ask is that you treat our camper like it was your own. We expect you to keep it clean and tidy throughout your trip. We take pride in it and have spent many hours fixing it up to be our home away from home. We think you will enjoy it as much as we do. We prefer that our camper will be delivered and set up it will not be towed by the renter. Nothing other than RV toilet paper goes down the toilet. Also recommend booking a full hook up site especially if staying in it for more than 3 days.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I can be very flexible as long as I have plenty of lead time.
Q.What type of campground hookups do I need?
A.
Your best if you can get a full hookup site with 30 amp power. You can sustain 3-4 days on non sewer hook up especially if you use the facilities at the campground. My family of 5 can go that long with no issues being conservatively.
