Recommendations for Altamonte Springs, FL from Outdoorsy Owners
An excellent Orange County park for camping, swimming, floating and paddling in Rock Springs. Large campsites, nice bathhouses, and big playgrounds.
Check ahead, but usually you can stay overnight. Food is great but a bit slow, so relax and enjoy.
Love swimming in the crystal clear springs, hiking the gorgeous trails and kayaking the river! We deliver our camper here on a regular basis. Nice shaded sites, most have good privacy.
I love this place. Has some hookups and has a great swim area for kids. It's a spring that forms a nice lake, crystal clear, with an old 'castle' in the middle. It's a sulfur spring.
Beautiful springs, a great florida experience. You can camp, stay just for the day, swim, scuba in the caves, see manatees, etc. It's gorgeous!
Lots of restaurant along the strip. Great shopping. Nice place to spend an afternoon eating and shopping. Some high end shopping.
Plenty of restaurants. Nightlife, Boardwalk along the river.
Nice park. No pets though. Traditional campground. Many guests go year after year with their families.
72 degree fresh spring water...cool in the hot temperatures. Warmer in Feb/March where the Manatees go to escape the colder waters. Swimming, picnicking, sightseeing, ice cream/gift shop.
Downtown Sanford has plenty of local restaurants worth trying. Also there are a lot of local breweries within walking distance of each other. Tuffy's Bottle Shop is our go to when in Sanford.
Central 28 Brewery and Swamp House Riverfront Grill are our two favorite places to go in Debary. Swamp House Riverfront Grill is located at Highbanks Marina and Camp Resort.
If you are looking for a beautiful RV park in the Central FL area, consider Wekiva Falls RV Resort in Sorrento, FL.
