Timberline Valley RV Resort
Nestled in 80 acres of beautiful countryside in Anderson, Indiana, is Timberline Valley RV Resort. There are 95 sites here, all of which are wide and have full hookup, a fire ring, and a picnic table. There are clean restrooms and showers in the resort, and you can get WiFi. If you want to spend the day here, take advantage of the lake and the two ponds, where you can swim and fish. There is a catch and release policy, and large bass, carp, and many other fish can be found here. The White River fronts about a mile of the resort, and there is a 13-acre island on the river to explore. If you enjoy walking, this place is ideal as there are many hiking trails, along which you might be lucky enough to see deer. There is also a playground for the kids. The city of Anderson has plenty of great restaurants and bars, as well as a small shopping mall. a museum, and parks. Why not go and visit the Anderson speedway or the Hoosier Park Racing and Casino? One thing you won't be here, is bored.
White River Campground
Relax by a placid river at White River Campground, located just 20 miles northwest of Carmel. This campground is just one part of the larger River Road County Park. The site itself encompasses 26 acres of forested terrain that is ideal for hiking, canoeing, bird-watching, or wildlife viewing. Many aspects of the park are inspired by the ancient history of this site, which is steeped in the archaic traditions of the Woodland People. As you travel through the park, you notice much of the decor was inspired by the artistic traditions of its first residents. Sites have ample space, and are designed for enjoying the peace and quiet of the outdoors. Picnic tables and shelters on the site are convenient gathering spaces for friends and family. Daily and weekly rates are available for RVs, and guests can choose from sites with full hookups, those with just electrical and water, or opt for rustic campsites. There is also a boat launch, dump house, recreation room and shelter house available for guests to use for a small extra fee.
Springhill Campground and Pay Pit
Springhill Campground and Pay Pit offers a nice assortment of outdoor activities including fishing, swimming, bean bag tossing, to name a few. The Campground offers a peaceful and serene spot 10 minutes away from downtown Kokomo. Green Acres Golf Course is only 1.5 miles away. Springhill Campground has several durations of stay to choose from, including 85 Seasonal Sites that allow you 70 nights during our season, 9 Full Hook-Up Sites for monthly stays and winter stays, 11 Pull Thru Sites to accommodate single nights or weekend stays, and several tent sites. All sites include water and electricity. Other amenities include: a large playground, our in-ground swimming pool (open Memorial Day through Labor Day) and catch and release fishing. The Pay Pit is a 6 acre lake stocked regularly with farm raised channel catfish. Other inhabitants include Flathead Catfish, Crappie, Bluegill, Bass and ?BIG JOE? (Approximately 100# Flathead Catfish.
