Explore the array of natural areas, nature preserves, and vast state parks northwest of Passaic while on your way to Harmony Ridge Campground. Your route is an hour's drive through some of New Jersey?s most pristine rural areas, including Great Piece Meadows, Farney State Park, Norvan Green State Forest, and Wawayanda State Park, just to name a few. The campground itself is between the Bear Swamp Wildlife Management Area and High Point State Park. Harmony Ridge welcomes both tents and recreational vehicles, and accommodates travelers staying of the night, the season, or even the whole year. Some services vary depending on the season, and rates change for holiday weekends. No matter what time of year you arrive, you can take advantage of on-site amenities that include a general store, laundry room, playground, recreation hall, and various spaces for sports and games. There?s even a hockey rink if you happen to be here in the winter.

Liberty Harbor RV Park

Liberty Harbor RV Park is in Jersey City, just nine miles away from East Orange in New Jersey. It is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore East Orange, and it is in a lovely setting with views of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. If you want to visit Manhattan, there is a tour bus that leaves from right outside the park. If you like boats, Liberty Harbor Marina is right next door, and there is a ferry to New York from here.There are 50 sites at the park, all with water and electric hookup. You will find restrooms and showers here, can get WiFi from the office, and there is 24-hour security. If you enjoy walking, there are easy trails close by. You are also only a short stroll away from coffee shops, and there are two grocery stores within a mile away. If you want to stay at the park in the evening, but don't want to cook, there is a restaurant and bar on site, serving delicious meals. Of course, you may want to venture out, and East Orange has a fantastic range of restaurants, including sandwich bars, pizza places, soul food, and fine dining.

Liberty State Park

The Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal, a historic transportation building can be found here. From here you can take Statue Cruises which offer ferries to Statue of Liberty National Monument, Ellis Island and Liberty Island.
