Exploring the City
Austin is the oddball city of the Lone Star State; their unofficial slogan is “Keep Austin Weird”. It’s also the Live Music Capital of the World. Each year, Austin hosts one of the biggest conference and festivals in the country, South by Southwest (SXSW). SXSW is an annual fusion of film, interactive media, and music that takes place in mid-March. Austin is one of the sunniest cities in America, boasting 300 sunny days a year! Austin takes hunger seriously, and they have some serious eats! Be sure to stop for some real southern cuisine and grab a Texas-sized steak.
